This chili recipe is so easy! And, with fall just around the corner doesn’t a big pot of homemade chili sound good!
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef
1 29 oz can of tomato sauce
2 15 oz cans of kidney beans -with liquid
2 15 oz cans of pinto beans - with liquid
3 medium diced tomatoes, or 1 15oz can of diced tomatoes
1 small can of green chilis
1 medium diced onion
2tsp. cumin
3tsp. chili powder
2tsp. black pepper
2tsp. salt
Brown ground beef, drain off fat. Combine with the rest of the ingredients, and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat, stiring every 15-20min., for 2-3 hours.
I usually cook the onion with the ground beef, and I cut back a little on the spices. Me and my kids are wimps when it comes to “hot/spicy” foods. We all love this recipe - Try it!!
